I second what my brother Albert said below, and thank him for including me on his visit to see her. As impossible as it seems, I recognized her (and her voice) immediately, even after all these years. Mrs. Stratton was my very favorite teacher. I was lucky to have her for third and fourth grade. She made me feel smart and special, I knew she loved me and I sure loved her. I saw her occasionally because she was a patient of my mothers and had the good fortune to tell her every time I saw her that she was my favorite teacher. She will be missed by all the students she had.

We were so sorry to hear about your loss.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
