Not sure what to say?

Oh my goodness! We just learned of Tally's passing. I taught with them two years in Elk River and helped them build their first house. Lindy and Tally were the only witnesses when Mary and I got married. Both Tally and Lindy were bright and great friends. Now they are both gone....bummer!

Tally, Joe/Lindy, and all the boys were our great family friends! All the years together over in Spain, summers here in Donnelly on Cascade Lake, camping out on the deck of the Blue House, flying radio controlled aircraft, these are just some of the wonderful memories we have of their lives. Great kindness, fun adventures, learning to grow up ....but not completely! These were the gifts they handed down to us every year. I think of them daily!

Tally & Doris Maxwell

Tally was the most beautiful woman, inside and out. She had a unique talent for making you feel special and "one of a kind," when actually that's how we all thought of her. Idaho Summer vacations were so enjoyable when the Larkin family was home from overseas. The Maxwell family treasured Tally and Joe's friendship - it began in Zaragoza, Spain 1960. I'm including a picture of my mom Doris Maxwell with her "forever friend" Tally. I have this in my craft room and consider it one of my...

I remember Lindy's classroom in Elk River and (somewhere) I have a wonderful picture of my mom (Pat), Tally, and some
friends from that time. My Dad (Harris) told many admiring Lindy stories and my mother never stopped telling me I was "just like Tally Larkin". Perhaps because I read voraciously, had all boy children, studied foreign languages, had a psychology degree and lived overseas? My folks thought quite highly of Tally and Lindy.
My condolences from the Mithoug family.

In 1967 I made the first of many trips to Idaho. While staying with the Maxwell family in Donnelly that year, I met Tally and Joe Larkin; it was an instant and lasting friendship. She and Joe made me feel right at home and like we'd known each other for years. When in the Boise area in recent years we've always made a point of taking Tally to lunch at Bar Gurnika in downtown Boise to catch up. Those were wonderful conversations! The saying goes that on our tombstones we all have a date...

The Maxwell, Prager, and Withers families will miss Tally. We will miss visiting, talking, and sharing books.

Aw, Tally, I'm so sorry to see that you've passed. I really enjoyed it when you'd visit the Rose City and bring your humor and sincerity. I'll miss you.

Tally was my dearest friend and partner in crime in many adventures over the years. It has been both an honor and privilege to know her and be a part of her life, as well as her wonderful family. Here's to you Tally, I will miss you so very much.
