Not sure what to say?

Nate was my second cousin and a good friend ; articulate and hardworking. He was not a dry, taciturn farmer , but he loved to discuss all the issues ; politics, fruit, immigration ... he will surely be missed! Our prayers are with his family.

I met Nate briefly this past summer when he stopped by at our pollinator garden at the Saratoga Regional YMCA. He was very supportive and had many suggestions of how we could lay water lines, etc. I was hoping to learn more from his experience someday. His van was filled with plants and produce, as he was on his way to delivering. It´s not everyday one gets to meet such a person as Nate. He shared our enthusiasm for gardens. Though I did not know him beyond this brief but memorable...

Shocked and surprised to hear. Heartfelt condolences to the entire family...

My condolences to Nate's family and his loving wife, Christine. The Saratoga Apple Orchard was a refuge for my friend, Pinky, and I and we would visit there as often as we were able. We were always greeted as friends and considered it our "home away from home". RIP

Oh I can't believe that Nate has passed. I so remember him at Putney, vibrant, and the beginning of his adult life. He was so much fun and had a healthy questioning of authority. I also remember trick or treating with my cousin Lynn one year and being bombarded by apples by the Darrow brothers in the woods. We had just connected on FB. It's been many years but I remember Nate with great affection. Farewell to a good man.

Nate was one of the smartest farmers and nicest human beings I have ever had the pleasure to know. What a loss to our farm-to-table community, to his family and friends. RIP my friend and my deepest sympathies to your family.
