Nathan C. " Super Nate" Gould, 78, of Mt Bethel, PA turned in his cape for wings on Monday, January 30th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono, East Stroudsburg, PA.


Nate was born in Paterson, NJ on December 19, 1944, a son of the late Ralph Sumner and Bernice (Hipson) Gould. He was the husband of Marianne  (DelMauro) Gould. They celebrated together their 60th wedding anniversary last November. Nate was employed as a Police Officer for the East Paterson Police Department, in  East Paterson, NJ, for 20 years, retiring as a Detective. He then was employed for Sirius XM radio as a satellite engineer, in addition to owning & operating a construction company. He then retired to farming. Super Nate was the founder of the Mini Bike Club in East Paterson, NJ, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, building, and placing wreaths for Wreaths Across America.


He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Radioman 2nd Class in the Vietnam War.


In addition to his wife, Marianne, Nate is survived by two daughters, Christine Ridgeway, wife of Bill, and Denise Baarda, wife of John, a brother, Jon Gould, 4 grandchildren; Justin, Kirsten, Jacob, & Sabrina, wife of Brian, 2 great-grandchildren; Kaleeve and Brian, Jr. and countless friends and family.


Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.

Denise, John and family I'm so sorry for your loss.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Nathan, I always looked forward to talk to him when he came to Nolt's Produce Supplies to pick up his orders, I will miss him greatly!!
