Not sure what to say?

My first day as a student at Aquinas in the fall semester of 1970 had Nate on a "swing" he designed, flying over the pond by Wege Center. If I remember correctly, the limb broke eventually! Nate made everyone feel good; never had a mean thing to say about anyone. Godspeed, Nate.

Nathan, I will miss your phone calls and your grin --- safe journey and peace.

Nattie,,,,

I will miss you....

Travel well....

NATE WAS ONE OF THOSE GUYS WHEN HE SAW HIS FRIENDS SHOOK HANDS OR GAVE A HUG. YOU COULD ALWAYS FEEL THE LIFE ENERGY BEING TRANSFERED TO YOU. I MET NATE WHEN I CAME TO AQIUNAS TO
STUDY ART IN THE EARLY 70'S. I KNEW VERY LITTLE ABOUT ART OR THE PEOPLE THAT MADE IT, NATE ENLIGHTENED ME TO BOTH. I WILL NEVER KNOW ANYONE LIKE HIM, EVER! FAREWELL OLD FRIEND.

Nate Horowitz~ A force to be reconned with! A force to be remembered forever and always! It was always fun being Nate's sister-in-law. He was a wild and exhuberant man... a convenient cover for what was truly a tender heart! I have missed you already and will miss you more, Nate. To all who knew and loved you, my heart shares your loss. Until we meet again in "Our Father's House!" God's blessings and peace be with you all!

Dear June, Steve and Zach: Our thoughs and prayers have been with you since learning of Nate's untimely death. It is never easy to part with loved ones but may your many happy memories of him help ease your sorrow. Your family has always been a special part of ours. Sorry we cannot come in person to extend our sympathy and give you a big HUG but we are still at Platte Lake. Now Sam and Nate are together again. Lovingly Bob & Esther Van Hammen and family

To my brother Steve and mother June: I've never been much for words at times like this. Just want you to know I'm thinking of you.

"Ha-Makom yenahem etkhem b'tokh sha ar aveilei Tzion vYerushalayim--may the Omnipresent comfort you among all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem." Shalom!

June:
You were such a cool mother to Nate. He loved the Red Birthday Party that you gave him when we were in college. He tried to be tough, but he loved that TLC and he was so proud of his parents. Your family is in my prayers.
Fondly,
Barbara Kantorowski Kalinka
