Not sure what to say?

Mr. Jay was a good merchant in downtown Commerce for many years. We always enjoyed him and his many stories from his travels around the world.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I only met Nathan once, when he invited me to speak to the Kiwani's Club of Commerce. He was a gracious, kind and thoughtful gentleman who made a lasting impression. That was more than twenty years ago. My sincerest condolences go out to you.

Dear Annette and family. I am so saddened to learn of Nathan's death. He was a friend to so many and was very special to all the Harpers and to me. I look back on knowing him and all of you with the most happy of memories.

I am sorry to hear that Nathan passed away. It has been many years since we saw each other, but my memory of his warmth and kindness to me as a young person is remembered. He was a nice person. Take care of yourself Annette. With good memories of you two, I am still practicing dentistry in Athens with no vision of retirement.......Barry Simmons

Marcia, David, and Mrs. Jay: I am so sorry to hear about Nathan's passing. I was just in Commerce mid-November to end of January, and had a chance to stop at Jay's to check on Nathan. I always did that over the years when I would visit home. Nathan was really good to me and I always admired him. My heart and prayers are with each of you at this time.
