Such sad news. When I used to attend Cinequest, Nathan was always the highlight, whether dressed in imperial robes, or in top hat. Pics with him just popped up in my photo memories. How timely. My condolences to his family, but know his memory always brings a smile.

I attended 5 or 6 Cinequest Film Festivals, & it was always a joy to see Nathan Louie in full costume greeting everyone. I loved his beautiful Chinese ceremonial robe, and then there was his white tux - top hat & tails. He was a great choice to be, for many, the face of the California Theatre. How appropriate that this joyful, wonderful man was an elementary school teacher. His students were so lucky! May he RIP...he will truly be missed!
