For all of my colleagues in UD's Core Program -- from which Nate graduated in the spring of 2014 -- I want to express our great shock and sorrow for the loss of Nate. I had the great privilege of having Nate in my first-year Core seminar (both fall and spring). Many faculty members at the University of Dayton are expressing how wonderful Nate has been at working with others to make the world a better place. He was so loved by so many. To the Sevier family, my deepest sympathies and shared pain for the loss of Nate. It was my privilege to be his teacher for a single course in Fall 2014 at UD wherein Nate's impact and quality still stay with me. Nathan was a center of kindness and gravity, a deep thinker and activist, and for a teacher, a pure joy. I would like the Sevier family to know just how wide-ranging and deeply his loss will be felt by so many who got to know him.
