Nathan L. Sinclair (1952-2008) CEDAR FALLS- Nathan L. Sinclair, 56, of San Francisco, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, March 6, 2008, at University of California at San Francisco Hospital of cancer. He was born Jan. 22, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, son of Donald J. and Margauret (Loveland) Sinclair. He attended Luther College in Decorah, and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of Iowa. He later received his Masters Degree from the University of California at San Francisco, where he was employed as a program assistant with the Cardiovascular Research Institute. At the time of his death, he had been working with the library at the university, researching the dangers and effects of smoking and second-hand smoke. He is survived by his mother of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Rod Sinclair of Cedar Falls and Edward Sinclair of Appleton, WI; a sister, Cora Sinclair of Omaha, NE; and a nephew, Samuel Sinclair, also of Appleton. Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lester and Rosabelle Loveland; and his father. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Richardson Funeral Home, with burial in Oakland Cemetery, Janesville. There will be no public visitation. His body has been cremated. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
