Dear Rachel and Tom, I offer my deepest condolences to you. Nat and Nancy were beloved neighbors of ours and it was always a joy to see them. We enjoyed so much their friendship and their lawn parties. They are already sorely missed!

I knew your father Nathaniel, ( Nat) when we were children playing in Gramercy Park. We were in the same class at Friends. We were pals, roller skating and having fun. He was the most mischievous , fun and intelligent person in our class. Dear Rachel, We were extremely shocked and saddened to hear of your parents' deaths. I have many fond memories of our times together; especially the many years of tennis and camaraderie with Nat. we admired admired both if you for your energy, your good humor your bravery if face of life's hurdles. We have so many happy memories of our life with this couple,too numerous to mention. Nat was so articulate and intelligent-and so very brave. Kate & I met Nat & Nancy in 1995, the day after title transferred on our house next door to them. The old owners broke a pipe when they were moving. The plumber when fixing the pipe lit the wall between the house and the garage on fire. Kate and I got up early the next morning to inspect the damage.
