I was a student that always had trouble with Science, but Dr. Hewitt went out of his way to make me a better student and I'm a better person because of it. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family and extended family at WSSU.

Dr. Hewitt was one of my best professors when I was a student at WSSU. We were later colleagues at WSSU. He was always so nice and soft spoken. He will surely be missed. God bless!

Nate III - Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this time. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Dr. Hewitt was dedicated to his students at WSSU. He cared about students being educated and did his best to accomplish all that could be done to help them. He is and will always be missed. To the family: Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; Lean not unto your own understanding; But in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. God will take care of you in the time of sorrow.
