Not sure what to say?

My husband and I were stationed at Ft Lewis, Washington Army Base 1979-1983, we met Nat and his army buddy Kelly and life became a great adventure and a lot more interesting! Natalie was around 4 years old at the time and adorable-she and I spent time together while Nat, Kelly and my husband Willie hung out doing man things. We camped out on Mt Rainier one weekend and exchange war stories. Nate was a great guy, he was intelligent and a wonderful conversationalist - he definitely kept things...

My son Tyler (Liwanag)just called me today to let me know about Nat. I was not expecting to hear of his passing. I'm still in shock and remembering so many great thoughts from years ago. My favorite is when my best friend and I learned that I had inadvertently hit Nat's car with a dozen eggs, instead of his roommates! He took it with his usual great sense of humor, however I recall, we were summoned back to his apartment for some "car detailing" as Nat watched intently, drinking a beverage. I...

Very few men have experiences the diverse experiences my step-brother Nat has had. Most shoot for simply getting ahead. Nat shot for adventure. I envied his cool interpersonal communication and his flamboyant airs. I hoped I could be as dynamic and be so loved. I instead settled for stability, and found that even that can have its pitfalls (Unjust persecution from loved ones). Nat did not look back and executed his choices as he saw fit. I am sure he has experiences more than any five...

I lived across the street from Nat and his family when he was growing up in Portland, OR. My father and his loved to share stores about all of the kids. His father was always so proud of Nat and all his accomplishments. When his family moved to Vancouver, WA we followed a few years later. We kept up with the family through his Mom and Dad and I see his Mom often at mass to this day. What a legacy he leaves in the sadness of his passing. Know my families' prayers are with all of you at...

Vickie and family, I am so sorry about Nat. I still remember his great smile. What a lovely family you all are. My condolences. Cindy Chattan

Uncle Nat always had a way to live whole-heartedly while sharing his experiences, stories, laughter and love with countless others. There's so many great times which he undoubtedly created or initiated, to name a few;

- The time he ordered 1 milkshake & 50 cheeseburgers at the Burgerville Drive Thru for all the kids! They were scrambling and kept repeating, "You want 50? Five Zero?!". "Yes, please" he patiently said over and over. I was cracking up in the passenger seat when he...

I have known Nathaniel since grade school, even then he had an infectious smile and personality. I remember selling Oregonian subscriptions door to door with him and winning trips to Disneyland, he was an awesome friend.

I have known your father for the last two years of his life. He was kind, generous, funny, discreet and a gentleman to the core. Having returned to France for the summer as every year, I am still devastated about his sudden disappearance.
