Nate- I can't believe it's been 15 years since you've been gone. Seems like an eternity and also, just yesterday. Your loss changed a lot of lives. I think of you often and wonder how our life together would have been had you stayed. You will always have a piece of my heart. I know your boys (who are now men) miss you. RIP my angel.

Nathan- I wish that no one would have to be writing in this book, but there is comfort in knowing you are at peace now. I wasn't ready to say good-bye to my partner and friend. I am so sad for those you left behind, but so thankful for the time we had with you while you were here. Words cannot express how special you are to us. We will hold our memories of you close to our hearts. Your sons adored you and will forever miss their daddy. They were so proud of you and all that you had accomplished. Through them, your spirit will live on. Thank you for being the best father you could be. Nathan - to my best friend ... we've been through a great deal together, through thick and thin. I am going to miss you so very much, words cannot even express. I am deeply saddened by your passing. I'm going to miss our shopping excursions, our long talks - you were truly the one person I could share anything with. I'm going to miss your infectious laugh and smile. For those that are reading this, what I ask of you is to focus on ... what a wonderful human being Nathan was - his caring and generous nature, always so willing to help those in need. His laughter and smile as it lit up the room. His sensitivity - I always joked with Nathan that he was every woman's dream of a best friend - manly on the outside, but extremely sensitive and caring on the inside :) While he didn't always take too kindly being called a "girl", deep down he loved it :) His devotion to his boys, Nathaniel and Trevor - he was such a loving and dedicated father to his boys. He loved them with all of his heart and soul!
Please remember Nathan for the loving, caring and genuine person that he was - one that I will deeply miss for all eternity. You will forever be on my mind and in my heart ... Love, Jen

I first met Nate in 1999 when I joined Scottsdale Insurance Co. I remember asking one of my co-managers, just who is this guy, this social butterfly who spends more time at other peoples' desks than his own? I later learned that he was helping those people, as he would help me many times after that.
Nate and I became close friends during our three year tenure on a company project. We were in such close and frequent contact that my wife, Beverley, handed me the phone one day and said, "It's your stepson." Nate, Bev and I got a good laugh out of that and, ever since, we referred to each other as "stepson" and "dad".
Bev and I both loved Nate. He was a son to us and he will always remain in our hearts.

but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Hey Daddy, i thought that i should sign this because i love you with all my heart and you meaN SO MUCH TO ME. I WANT TO GROW UP AND WORK AT SCOTTSDALE JUST LIKE YOU. you lived the greatest life i have known. you aren't just a dad to me you were and are my best friend i could talk to you about anything and everything, girlfriends, stress, school, homework, and family troubles. You were my shoulder to cry on. I miss wednesday nights when me and you would go to On the Border and watch Suns games. Wow! I am very stunned that the results of a simple name search led me to discover the untimely demise of my nephew Nathan Holmeyer.I have not seen him since we were kids years ago,and I did not know him very well because we lived in two different states.It pains me to know that another blood relation has passed away.I am reminded of the time when I was at the Blockbuster Video Store at 35th avenue & Glendale,and the clerk asked me if I was Nathan Holmeyer because I was getting a new card.I told the clerk no,that is my nephew's name.Every thing happens for a reason,and it is no coincedence that I found my way here tonight to sign the guestbook.Nathan,You will be sorely missed by many people,and the world will be a dimmer place due to your absence.

Nathan my love,
I miss you and love you so very much. Every moment with you was a dream come true. You were loved by many and touched all with whom you came into contact with. I will always carry you in my heart and in my soul and though I am very sad you are gone, our time together has been the happiest time of my life and I thank you for that. I know you are at peace in God's hands and I will ever await our time together again.

I would like to extend my deepest, heart-felt sympathies to Nathan's sons, his immediate family, loved ones and all the people whose lives Nathan has touched. Nathan and I enjoyed ribbing each other. I'll miss his wisecracks, followed by that devilish grin and contagious laugh. Nathan was the type of friend that I might not see for awhile; but we picked up right where we left off, as if no time had passed...I'll miss my friend and I am honored to have been his. I didn't get to see Nathan before he left us, but I know when I see him again, we'll pick up, right where we left off. May God bless you and keep you Nathan; you were a very loved and special man.

When I think of Nathan I see that big smile and the twinkle he had in his eyes. He was a kind spirit that touched so many and leaves us all with an empty place in our hearts and lives. Words cannot express the sorrow I feel over the loss of Nathan. What a joy he was to be around! Even though I only knew him 3 years as a coworker, he had a heartfelt impact on my life. He had an infectious smile and a twinkle in his eye that always made me smile back. That's what I'll remember about Nathan...his wonderful smile.

Family and Friends of Nathan:
I started working at Scottsdale Insurance 5 years ago and Nathan was the first real friend I made. We had a lot in common and enjoyed each others company, got into some trouble together and built a very strong friendship! I have had the great oportunity to spend time with Nathan and is sons, mostly Nathanial. I have had a chance to see how much Nathan loved the boys, his smile was even bigger than usual when he was with them! I have lost a dear friend and wish I could bring him back, but I can't... However, evertime I see the boys, I will see Nathan and know he is still here in someway and smiling! I am proud to say I am his friend and he will always be in my heart!

Nathan was a wonderful friend and co-worker. I will miss his bright smile, his great attitude and his brilliant mind. He would always drop whatever he was doing to help me & he always fixed the problem. It's silly but I thought it was just for me! - but as it turns out, he was delightful and helpful to all of us.

I've known your father for almost his entire career at Scottsdale Insurance. Nathan was the "go to" guy for everything that he worked on and was loved by all. Holmeyer Family,
I met Nathan when he first began his career at Scottsdale Ins. He was young, energetic, enthusiastic and determined about his life and his work. Nathan and I both pursued our careers into claims, our paths crossed occasionally and what I remember most was he always spoke of his sons, both of whom he was very proud.
Nathaniel and Trevor remember the happy times with your Dad and know that he loved you with all his heart.

I never had the chance to work with Nathan, but we would on occasion stop and talk. The one thing I remember the most was his smile, and the way he chose to go out of his way to help others, make their jobs easier, and to explain the how and why of things. He will truly be missed.

Nate was the best uncle i could ever ask for if i needed anything he would be the first one to be there.I remember last summer i was with Nate and Nathaniel for half the summer.I loved him more than anyone could imagine.I also wish Nathaniel and Trevor strength during this difficult time.To Nathan's mom Brenda,I cant say how sorry i am but if you ever need me have little Nate call me.

I will miss the way your eyes would dance everytime you mentioned Nathaniel and Trevor. Words cannot express the Love and Joy Nathan held in his heart for his kids. He was a true friend, one that made me laugh and who laughed with me. Until our paths cross again, rest peacefully.

I was introduced to Nathan a few years ago and I always remembered him as a very friendly, out-going individual. Definitely stood out in the SIC crowd. I always enjoyed greeting him while walking around the office or in the elevator. I will miss his smiling face. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of your father. Nate was a great father, friend, co-worker. You should know that he was quite proud of you and loved you both dearly.
I spent alot of time with Nate over the years and he became a really good friend and will be sorely missed.

Nathan was a great father and a wonderful brother in law, but most of all he really loved and lived each and everyday for his two boys!
