NATHANIEL POTTS

Mr. Potts was my Principal 1983-1987. Mr. Potts called me his daughter and he was a father to the students. The week I got back in touch with him I was supposed to go visit him he passed the day before. I was so happy that I got a chance to talk with him to say thank you. Another chance on the other side. Mr. Potts crossed my mind today and I decided to look him up. A wonderful principal I had at West Side High School. I am just learning of his loss. Rest in power sir. I am a part of your legacy.

My condolences to your family Mr. Potts you will truly be missed, you were one of the best teachers in Newton St. School, monitoring the hall with that ruler in hand making sure students was not caught roaming the hallways, always sporting that smile but very much a disciplinarian. Rest in Peace "Uncle Nate". The world has lost a very sincere,condsiderate and loving person. Even through marriage, you were like an Uncle to me when I met you when I was 11 years old in the summer program at Bergen Street school. May Allah continue to Bless you in Paradise.
