I'm so very sad to hear that the world has lost Than. Although I don't think I'd seen him since high school graduation, he still stands out in my mind as someone who was always kind. My very deep condolences to Gretchen and Josh. Rest in peace, Than.

Dear Gretchen and Josh,
I met Nathan through my husband some time ago. He stood out to me right away: our first conversation revealed that he and I shared a love of literature, music, self reflection, analysis. He was an astute student of life.
I can honestly say that Nathan was exceptional. I am not likely to ever forget him. My heart grieves for all of you loved him and knew him well. Though I only knew Nate for a comparatively for short time, I feel I glimpsed who he was:...

Than was a classmate of my son Jesse. I remember well his bright smile. Our deepest sympathies during this devastating time. May love and hope help to heal your hearts.

Ms. Stahl,
I am thinking of you, as always, and send your extra energy during this time.
