Nathaniel Wray Obituary

WRAY, Nathaniel Edwin Jr., Died November 21, 2023, born March 20, 1937. He was the son of Nathaniel Edwin Wray, Sr., and Beatrice Moye Wray.

He is survived by his wife, Elisabeth Evans Wray, Daughter Elisabeth Wray Jones, granddaughters Victoria Evans Jones Yilmaz (Umut Yilmaz) and Elisabeth Anne Jones , brother Richard Gene Wray, great-grandson Deniz Evan Yilmaz, daughter by love Claudia Hubert Sloan and her husband Douglas Sloan, son-in-law John R. Alley, many nephews and nieces, and close friends who included David Rhodes and long-time friends Morgan J. Reynolds and Evelyn Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his daughter Victoria Wray Alley and son Nathaniel Edwin Wray, III.

Mr. Wray was a graduate of Charles City High School and Virginia Tech. He was a member of Tuckahoe Masonic Lodge of Virginia and a life-long Episcopalian.

There will be a graveside service at Westhampton Memorial Park on Saturday Dec. 2nd 12 p.m.
