Not sure what to say?

A year has passed since I last saw you, Neal, but you have never left my heart. I miss you each day and pray that you have moved on to a special place of healing and peace. Know that you will always be remembered with love.

I will write a personalized poem for Neal if it’s alright with you. Neal was life personified and I remember the first time we met. The person I thought was rough and gruff was the person who was the most soft hearted and genuine and I want to embody that part of Neal. That's what I remember...

Rest in peace, my friend Neal. I am so happy that he finished his book and published it while he was still healthy and could enjoy the opportunities to promote it, speak about it, cry about it and have passion for his project. His book will live on, I assure you. RIP buddy.

I have been very blessed by knowing Neal and working for him at Western Union. He made a very positive impact on my life. I am so glad that I had lunch with him about a year ago, and we talked about all of the god times and some of the not so good we shared. My condolince to all of his family and especially the girls and ther mother.

Although my acquaintance with Neal was brief, the impression he made on me will be a lasting one. In our conversation, he spoke with such great passion about his book that I immediately signed him up to speak to our group, Writers’ Guild of Texas. Although Neal was never able to make that speaking engagement we will remember Neal and his promise to Rosy Mandel.

Neal was a friend of mine for 20 plus years and frm the moment we meant we knew we were destined to be lifelong pals. He was such a stong, kindhearted, funny, compassionate man who I felt blessed to have as my friend. We shared a love of cats and believe me we never had a conversation over the miles without talking about our cats. He is with Gretchie now who I believe was the love of his life! He is our angel now. i will always love you and miss you with all my heart. Thanks for always...

Neal,

Sometimes in life, we walk alone. Sometimes we journey with friends.

What a good traveling companion you are! I can easily recall the sound of your voice as I listen inwardly for your words of encouragement. I believe you fulfilled many worthy missions in your life and that you still guide us toward fulfillment of our own.

Neal left a legacy and it is written in the hearts of his friends at "The Self Publishing Group" here in Dallas. We were both in the group.

Both Neal and I were cat lovers and so we shared cat pictures and funny
e-mails whenever we could.

He was one of the GOOD guys. He will be missed.

Dear Neal,
I feel lucky to have been able to meet you and learn a bit about your interesting life, your humor and your passion for writing.

Thank you for all you have done - protecting this country, having your well loved children (as evidenced by all the post here) and giving a voice to Rosalie so that she will be remembered by many people along with her family.

I'd like to thank you most for loving my mom and for being a safe harbor for her. You will be greatly...
