Not sure what to say?

As with Allen, I only learned of Neal's passing in our fraternity's magazine this week. Neal and I were classmates at Union, fraternity brothers in Sigma Phi, and close friends for years afterward, spending time together when he taught school in the Berkshires and lived in his rental "cabin". Lots of fond memories. I regret that we hadn't shared more time together. Bill Kipp

This is a bit late, but I just read of Neal's death in the Sigma Phi Fraternity national magazine. He was in the class ahead of me at Union College. He was a good guy and always fun at parties. He was a physics major so we shared a few classes. Very sorry to hear of his passing. Allen Miller

I saw Uncle Neal about 5 years ago on a trip to Santa Fe. We had a nice walk and lunch together at his favorite restaurant. He seemed happy, going for long walks every day through his neighborhood, and seeing friends. We will miss him.

I'm deeply saddened to hear that Uncle Neal passed away. I told my mother. his sister Joan Ogden this morning. She has dementia, but she remembers her brothers. She's 15 years older than Neal and, yes, all her brothers have predeceased her. I enjoyed speaking with Uncle Neal on the phone. He had a sarcastic joi de vivre about him that made his stories enjoyable to hear.

I am sorry to hear my Uncle Neal has passed away. I was curious to contact him or find out how he was it has been about 12 years since I saw him, I googled him and discovered this obituary. His sister, my mother, has NOT predeceased him but has been out of contact since suffering dementia. To his friends and other family I offer condolences. I did not know him very well but I am sure my mother would have appreciated knowing he passed away.

Vaya con Dios amigo. From Kachina dawn powder to Culebra dusk fly hatches to holding my newborn boys, to the nightly dog walk and a cob salad on the deck, what a journey we shared. You lived this life to the hilt Nealy, I´ll miss the banter and the fellowship. RIP.
