Neal Arthur Vanselow MD

Neal hired me in to be dean of the School of Dentistry at the University of Nebraska when he was the Chancellor of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, May of 1981. My wife and I learned more about being a Dean in the 6 months that he was at Nebraska before leaving for the University of Minnesota. They were truly one of the most charming and interesting friends that we have ever had. He will sorely be missed by everyone who knew him. We will never forget him.

Sorry to learn of Neal's passing. Neal hired me to be dean of the U of MN School of Dentistry in 1986. As Vice President of Health Sciences Neal became a friend, colleague and counselor. I'm grateful to him for proffering me the opportunity to join his Minnesota Health Science team. We shared an interest/hobby in baking bread. Celia and I remember Neal and Mary fondly and extend our sincere condolences to the family.

Please accept my condolences on the passing of Dr. Vanselow. He was Chancellor at Tulane when Dr. Corrigan recruited me from Florida to be the new Associate Dean for Finance and Administration at the medical school. I will always be grateful to the two of them for that opportunity and the confidence they placed in my responsibilities.
