Ned Beatty

What a wonderful actor and warm human being.

Very genial personality, A good guy.

I just watched The Execution of Private Slovikth and Ned Beatty played the chaplain. I also remember him playing a chaplain in an episode of MASH in the 4th season. Ned Beatty was excellent no matter what role he played. Rest in Peace Ned Beatty.

Ned Beatty was one of the most underrated actors of his time. I never miss a chance to watch one of his movies. Every time I watch a movie on TCM involving a small time sheriff I can't help but think that Mr Beatty would have been a much better actor for the role.

To a GREAT actor, fellow resident of Louisville, and alumnus of Eastern High School. Deliverance is still one of my favorite films of all time. My mom and grandmother have many fond memories of Ned's mother when they were neighbors in St. Matthews.
