Ned Feder

Ned Feder was a generous and enthusiastic mentor to me the summer that I was a high school junior and he was at the Biological Laboratories at Harvard. We collaborated on experiments with planaria, many of which I collected in the field. He and his lab taught me what I wanted to learn, namely how to prepare and stain sectioned material for examination under the microscope. Later, as a graduate student I used methods that he and T.P.
