Not sure what to say?

Ran into Bob Belich and found out Ned had passed away last year. So sorry I missed his funeral. I was a majorette from 1969 to 1972. Ned loved to put kids on the spot. Once I was walking down the hall on a hall pass and he gave me a piece of paper and told me to go to the podium on the stage and read it to the audience. Since he was my principal, I walked to the podium. There was a large group of parents in the auditorium and when I looked back at Ned, he laughed so heartily. I read the...

Sorry to hear of the death of a good person and a dear friend whom I've known for a very long time. I did not know of Mr. Mervos' passing until late July of 2016. How sad I was. He helped a lot of people and we had many good times together. May God Bless his family - Pamela, Caitlin and David.

To the Family of Mr. Mervos, I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Mervos. I attended North from 1970-1972 . He was honest ,fair and always knew where you stood with him. He always gave the football players words of wisdom and.an occasional conversation with "Bertha" which we totally deserved. He helped so many people the list would be endless. He was a great man and a great person. He will be missed by all. God Bless. John Girman

Dear Pam and David, Please know that we are thinking of you and your families at this difficult time. We are so sorry to learn of your Dad,s passing. Your parents were wonderful neighbors to my family and my Mom and Dad always held them in the highest regard. thank you for sharing your Mom and. Dad with my family over the many years.

Anyone fortunate enough to have known this great man is blessed to have learned life lessons from him. One of the 4 most influential people in my my life. I hope his 4 grandchildren NEVER forget what he taught them. Many times in your life someone will try to tell you something, you'll listen and realize that person has been influenced by your Pap. Sick in the hospital a nurse came on duty and remembered him and asked if he was her principal. I was amazed.

My condolences and warm wishes of lots of great memories growing up with Mr. Mervos. He was a dear friend to our family and a wonderful colleague of my late father and Coach William Casper from West Mifflin North. Many, many great times with Mr. Mervos and his always smiling demeanor and personality.
My sisters Karen and Karol and Mom Dolores send our deepest condolences and prayers to the Mervos Family.

I was saddened to just find out about Mr. Mervos passing. I was not one of the jocks in school, but he treated me as an adult and with respect. He was a good guy!
