I think often of Negrita. I still can't believe she has passed away. I always remember the last time I saw her and spoke to her (April/08). She was in great spirit, smiling and hugging. I really missed her.

This amazing woman's book helped me to lose 82 lbs. I have kept it off for ten years now, thanks to her wonderful advice. I just learned of her passing upon discovering this and I am holding back tears as I write this. I had dreams of one day meeting her in person to thank her personally. However, she is now with God. One moment in time - I met her and had the blessed chance to be greeted by a beautiful smile and warm heart. She will be greatly missed by many.
Although I did not know her well, I had the opportunity to speak to her a few times and she was able to assist me with the help of my own dying mother to cancer.
God Bless You, sweet one and rest in peace in the love of Christ.

Deepest sympathy to the family. Maria was a high school friend with whom I lost contact upon graduation. Having read some of the obituaries nothing about the young woman I had the pleasure of knowing changed over her life time. She was kind, motivated and consistently a genuine, happy spirit.
