My sincere condolences to the family. My brother and singing partner, we will miss you.

I first got to know Duke at Morris Brown College when he pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. While he was on line, I had a hard time remembering who was "Duke" and who was "Bull"...William Hunter. They were together all of the time. Believe it or not...Duke was the quiet one.

My heartfelt sympathy to the Durden family in the homegoing of Duke. May you find some comfort in the thought that others care and will remember him.

My heart was saddened upon hearing of the passing of my dear brother and friend. It seems like just a few "light" years ago that we were together at Pepsi-Cola southside checking out route #32! You were one of the bright spots at the plant and I greatly appreciate all you meant to me and my family!

Thank you for the times you came to Good Shepherd and shared your singing gift with us. You are now singing in that heavenly chorus with Al and all the rest. Sleep on my friend and...

I met him as a lad in the Bethlehem Baptist Church and Washington St. Elementery School here in Covington. He was a devoted husband to his bride Betty Griffin Durden and a dutiful father. I ask "His" blessings upon the family as they make this adjustment in their lives. His bright smile will be missed physically but it has found a...

Duke was a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, while we both were at Morris Brown College. In addition to being fraternity brothers, I had the pleasure of singing with Duke as we provided music for our mid-week Vespers services and Sunday morning worship services at Morris Brown.

My deepest expressions of sympathy to his family.
