Not sure what to say?

It's hard to believe that Neil passed away 5 years ago.

I think of him often in the normal course of life. We had so many good times playing for over 30+ years in our music group "The Sound Investment". Sometimes we would have 5 gigs over the weekend and never got tired of each other. That says a lot! There was never a gig when ALL of us didn't wind up laughing when Neil would pull some crazy antic while on stage. I remember those times vividly...just like it was yesterday and I...

All of his students loved him, he was intelligent and had a great sense of humor.

I never forgot Mr Cerbone - he was a great teacher at PS 24. I especially liked his cupboard full of neckties (horrible) that he made the students wear when they came to school without one. Great teacher - great human being. xxx

To The Cerbone Family,

My sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to your family. I still remember a great teacher and motivator he was in my life. Mr. Cerbone really did care about his students. He surely left an impact in my life after all these year. Our graduation song was "You Light Up My Life".....

Take care and Peace & Blessings to the family.

To Neil, Julie, Thomas, Steven, Jamon, & family...although I've only had the pleasure of knowing Neil a short while, I can see what a positive force he has been to all who have been with him. He always was "genuine" ...he will be missed... but his spirit will always be with us.
My deep condolences,

Michael

I read obituaries for a living, as it were, in my position doing database research and maintenance. The stories of wonderful people like Mr. Cerbone are a highlight of my day. My condolences, but also my thanks to all who shared their stories of a man who changed the world.

I will always remember working with Neil during his years at Somerset Hills School. He will always be remembered as a warm and caring man. He cheerfully found time to help anyone in need. I have always felt it had been a privilege to have worked with him. He was missed the very day he left the school. The relationship he shared with Sandy could be felt whenever you were in there presence. Being together now completes their love story.

I Remember all the good times we had signing, particularly during Christmas. He one of the few teachers who brought joy to my heart. God Bless Him.
