Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear of your family's tragic loss. My heart goes out to Danielle and to all of you at this time of deep sadness. May God hold you in the palm of His hand and help you, with time, to heal...

Uncle Neil, i will miss you so much and am bummed you never made it out to the colorado rockies for some skiing and mountain climbing. I will always remember you for your humor (which most of the time I didn't get because I was too young or, later in life, in too much awe over your presence) and the fact that you always thought I was beautiful, and never failed to tell me so!!! You will be greatly missed by your family, immediate and extended. I hope you are now at peace with the world. ...

Neil became my father-in-law some three years after I married his oldest daughter. Cindi was lovingly and wisely allowed to be adopted at birth, due to her parents' youth and Neil's expected mobilization to Viet Nam. Neil and Lynne didn't stop loving each other. They married eight years later, went on to have three more beautiful children, and never stopped looking for their little girl. On a bright spring day in 2002 I had the amazing experience of telling my wife that her "bio-" parents...

Neil always had a funny way to view things. When he shared a story, I always felt better.I will miss his smile and great humor. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

Marc, Colin, Kevin and Neil on Mt. Whitney Summit

Neil had a gift of humor and wit that I will greatly miss. I will always remember our trek up Mt. Whitney, crosing the ice field, chasing the bears, reaching the summit. I so looked forward to more adventures with you. But I know you are now at peace. At rest in God's care. I miss you.

Neil has been a part of my family and my life since, before I even existed. He was like an uncle who was always there for the big stuff in my life, showing support and pride. His smile was amazing. So many people mention his smile because it really stood out. His laugh that went with his smile, I am sure you can all hear right now. Neil is someone I have respected and admired my whole life. My thoughts and my love go out to the family who will miss him most.

Dear Lynne,
Neil was a blessing and a gift to me in the short time I knew him. My humble sympathy to you and your children and grandchild for the loss of Neil.
May your children forever remind you of Neil.

Hi Neil:
We had such a good time this past Easter with you in Idaho. I am so glad we had that time and the goofing around and looking at houses and so forth. Marc and I will miss you terribly. Especially your crazy phone calls. We know you are at peace now. We love you, Marc and Marcia

I loved Neil; we were the "Class of '99", and met each other there. I later became friends with Connie, and met Neil's wonderful family. Neil was a true character, and his outrageous, politically incorrect humor never failed to delight me. I know that he struggled, and can only hope that he is at peace now. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family; know that Neil always spoke of you with great love.
