President Humphrey was a great leader, honest person I appreciated so much. I will miss him.

Neil was an excellent administrator and academic leader during the time when I first arrived at Youngstown State University. He was an exceptional gentleman, one who always approached matters from a practical and cheerful perspective. We need more people like him in American higher education today.

Sharyn and I Stuart met Neil at mass at Our Lady of the Snow mass. We both felt a strong vibration of emission of a vibrant, honest, personality from him.
We will miss him at mass but will feel his spirit

Our condolences to Bonnie and their family. Neil was one of the finest gentleman we ever knew. He was quite intelligent, understanding, compassionate and very honest. We would refer to him as "Mr. Straight Arrow." It was our honor to have worked for him and with him. He was a credit to the University of Nevada System having been it's first Chancellor, setting a high bar for those who would follow him. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. God bless.
