I have fond memories of Neil Mahoney from when I used to run with the DSE Runners. He would usually sign up for their races using "old" or "older than dirt" as his age. He was and still is an inspiration for me as I begin to feel the effects of aging as I continue to run. It sounds like he had a great life.

Neil was one of the first people I met when I was knocking on doors in South SF...i was new in the area and he was so kind and friendly.he and I would chat whenever our paths crossed after that. Years later I ran into him at the Dolphin Club, much to my surprise and delight!
