We are so sorry to hear of Neil's passing. Although we haven't seen each other in a long while, we have lovely memories of the times we spent together as couples.

I still am in shock that my big brother is gone.

Neil and I were classmates at Bates, took many of the same classes and were involved in College Democratic Party activities together. He was a fine and thoughtful person with a responsible outlook. After having been out of contact for years, it was wonderful to spend time with him at our 50th Reunion. I'm sorry we didn't follow up on our promises to get together from time to time in Washington. A good man and a good friend for whom I had great respect. MY sincere condolences to the family.

I worked at the NRC for many years and dealt with Neil in a professional capacity, mostly in the 1970s and 1980s. Some of the issues we dealt with were intractable, both legally and technically. Neil shown like a star, ever eager to move forward with the highest regard for safety the law. He made a great contribution to the nuclear energy profession. I am very privileged to have worked with Neil.

I was so sorry to hear about Neil's passing this morning. He was an amazing presence in my life as a teacher and debate coach. I will miss his stories, his love for judging debates, his flexibility, and his very presence. I hope that his memory will comfort you at this difficult time.
