In his ninth grade history class at Lake Highlands Junior High School in Dallas he encouraged us to keep a journal with ideas and questions to be discussed. He was an important influence on my life and I am thankful to have met him. Rest in peace, Mr. Patton.

Mr. Patton was a truly great person. He was someone you could talk to and would know he listened. I loved to listen to him tell stories. He loved his family. I will miss him very much. He was a wonderful person to work with. O'Banion will not be the same without him.
