What a great friend, musician, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Brother, and all around good buddy one could count on to be there. Lots of great memories making music together, or just hanging out listening to tunes in Woodrow Manor. Then there were the late night runs to the Hot Shot, or to get doughnuts, or just wondering when Hyder's opens for business. Rest well my friend "Nefarious Neil" (as he called himself back then) or "Bombur" (as some others referred to our buddy and friend Neil).

Neil was a great guy. Me and Warren Haynes (plus others) were in a band called Bourbon Street back in the late 70's. He could "hang" whatever you were playing. Awesome memories. <

Neil was definitely one of my mentors as a musician, and we played hundreds of gigs together as a horn section back in the '70s and '80s. He was an extremely kind person and awesome trumpeter!! Condolences to all of his family and friends.
