Not sure what to say?

Neil and his family were my gateway to Judaism and my family away from home during my time as a student at Ball State University in Indiana. I have so many wonderful memories with them: chatting with Liz on campus, getting beat at chess by Teddy, chuckling with Susan and Neil about how they would use their French when they didn't want the kids to know what they were saying, and of course spending Shabbos together down in Indianapolis. Neil was a kind and humble soul, and I am sorry I did not...

Neil was my room mate at Temple University. He introduced me to Cheryl Snyder on my first day in the dorm. Cheryl and I were married for 32 wonderful years. Neil and I shared the same Birthday, January 26, our father´s birthday was the same day, November 16, and his wife´s Birthday is January 9th, the same day as my sister´s, Pat Metz, aka Sister Mary Francis in the Visitation Monastery in Annecy, France. Ripley´s will have to add another chapter to their book!

I studied with Neal at Ball state University. He was very welcoming and helpful. We had fun times playing ping pong. RIP

I could never score much less beat Neil in ping pong I still loved trying. I will always remember him.

I was so sorry to hear of Neil´s death. I know he was a great violinist and teacher, but it was his humanity that I will remember most. He was open and kind, such a positive force every time I was with him, and that serves as an inspiration and reminder of what it is to be a great person. I will miss him.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I remember him to be a kind and talented man. May he rest in peace.

I am so sad to learn of the passing of my teacher and friend. I was greatly privileged to study with him, and the music world is a poorer place with his passing. Please accept my deepest condolences.

My condolences to Neil´s family, friends and students. I was at Temple with Neil, many years ago. So sorry for your loss.

A great loss. I remember him as a classmate and out-of-this world violinist.
