Nell Grace Robinson Finley, 88, of Jameson Road, wife of the late Jack Finley, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at her home.

Born in Pickens, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Lena Aretha Turner Robinson.

Mrs. Finley was a homemaker and member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. Earlier in her life, she enjoyed gardening, working in her yard and NASCAR Racing.

Surviving are her children, William Gary Finley (Patsy) of Spartanburg, John A. Finley (Kathy) of Easley and Rebecca "Becky" Clark of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Sam Finley (Terra) of Simpsonville, Malena Diego (Wes) of Charlotte, NC, James Finley (Elizabeth) of Pickens, Bethany Wilbanks (Brad) of Easley, Ben Clark (Betty) of Mobile, AL and SSG Brandon Clark of Fort Riley, KS; eighteen great grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Lowery (Cecil) of Greenville and Mary Margaret Deyton of Burnsville, NC; a brother, William "Bill" T. Robinson of Florida City, FL; a sister-in-law, Pat Hipp (Kenneth); and a brother-in-law, Sonny Finley.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, David A. Finley and a grandson, Bill Clark.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Cross Roads Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Janie Chapman Offering for State Missions of Cross Roads Baptist Church, 160 Cross Roads Church Road, Easley, SC 29640.

The family will be at their respective homes.

Aunt Nell was like like a second mother when I would "vacation" a couple of days with my Finley cousins. We ALL will miss her greatly.

Daryl and Cindy are greatly sadden to hear of Miss Nell's passing. She was always there each Sunday morning with a quick smile and kind word, there will be such an emptiness in the pew in front of us now. Our love goes out to all the family.
