Nelly Lerma Obituary
She was born on Aug. 17, 1946 in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico.
Mrs. Lerma worked at Green Giant Cannery for 15 years and for the WIC Program as a Nutrition Assistant for 29 years until she retired in 2012. Spending time with her family and grandchildren was one of her greatest passions. She also enjoyed going to yard sales, creating beautiful succulent arrangements and making the best Spanish rice for her grandchildren. She was known for having a very caring and loving soul and always being there with the best advice. She was always full of faith and welcomed people with open arms.
She is survived by Jesus Parra Lerma, her husband of 56 years, and her children; Sandra (Peter) Lerma, Frances (Greg) Moreno, Mari (Cesar) Vega and Jesse (Amber) Lerma. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Nancy Lerma and her granddaughter Berenice Tinoco.
Service will be held Dec. 29 from 3-6pm at People's Funeral Chapel, Hanford, CA (10-person limit in rotations of 15 minutes). Flowers can be sent to People's Funeral Chapel in Hanford, Calif. and donations can be sent to venmo@Frances-Moreno-2.
