Nels I was just reading how you do have more than one friend, amazing how many people you knew, dad says hi and will write later, love you talk with you soon.

There are some things in this world that you just can't believe could happen. This is one of those things for me. Although your pain is gone now, I still miss you. You were a great man, full of life, I loved being around you. I feel truley blessed to have known you. I love you and I will miss you terribly.

To the Johnson family: I know there is nothing that could ever replace Nels, but you all have some great memories. Cherish those. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

SORRY TO HEAR YOU HAVE LOST YOUR BROTHER. ALWAYS IN ARE HEARTS. AND PRAYERS. WE LOVE YOU.

When Nels told me he had a crush on me in 6th grade, I melted. I had felt loved by him ever since. In High School, we used to horse around in a big field behind the Annex and he would pretend like I was beating him up and would launch himself over my shoulders and roll in the grass, embarrassing the heck out of me by letting everybody in the classrooms think I was thrashing him. Nettie and Family,
I cannot express how sorry we are for your loss. In a moment of happiness we may not require a hand to hold us but in times of grief we all look for a shoulder to lean on. My shoulder is here for you always, as are my prayers and my heart goes out to you all.

Uncle Nels...You were so loved and your heart was so big. Your attitude through all of your hardships was amazing and inspiring. I love you and will miss your crazy stories. There are only good memories and that is how you can tell a good person. Love Always,
