I am Deeply Saddened finding out a year later about the passing of Mr. Claypoole, I have lost touch with him through the years, He was my Electricity/Electronics vocational teacher at Union High School back in 1977 and 1978 and was absolutely one of the most brilliant intelligent men I have ever known. It was because of him that gave me the incentive to create science fair projects at the school that always won first place, and it was because of him that I made it to become an expert...

Our most sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the Claypoole family........Nelson and Betty were great neighbors on South Union Avenue for many years, and my father and I began delivering milk to their home from the day they moved in....The Claypooles are exceptionally nice people, always smiling and sharing a friendly word when we would meet them at St. Michael's Church........ May Nelson rest in peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him......
