Not sure what to say?

Again I received a notice and here at Palm Desert remembering our last supper at the Loco Pollo cooked chicken place on Palm Canyon Dr. I could always find them there around dinner time !

I met Nelson at a shared home with several families including Tom Goodwin. He drove his grandmothers push button car, wore a black cowboy hat and took my boys Ben and Victor for a ride in his piper cub. What a strong caracter he was. Enjoyed visits at Oceanside later in life when I cooked Debra and him Salmon dinners. Always miss this fellow.

So sad to hear of Nelson's passing but very glad to hear that it was peaceful. Being a good friend since 1968, I have always enjoyed his very good sense of humor and kindness. My recent visit to Palm Springs in 2018 on January 25-30 th I had the pleasure of visiting Deborah and him in Palm Springs. Love to you Deborah and Allison .

We love you and miss Nelson too. We are in Palm Desert and only heard of his passing today. Hope o use you soon. Dennis & Gloria 503-665-1255

Rest in Peace Nelson. I am happy to have known you.

Nelson was a sidekick of my partner Paul Bassett, in the 60s, both in San Francisco and Portland, and a huge fan of his various bands, particularly Dr. Jazz. Well known for his wild imagination and sense of humor.

One of my more delightful & accomplished friends, from our days in mid-'60s Portland. We shared a love for the music at the roots of the awakening of our Baby Boomer generation (as well as certain cultural corollaries to that Movement). He was an astute cultural critic, with whom I shared some truly memorable conversations- both Group & "one-on-one". I'm certain that we solved the greatest of the world's problems many times over! Rest in Peace, old friend.. & know that you added something...
