Pete's quiet generosity and many kindnesses will never be forgotten. He shared his time, talent and home.
His handmade building blocks and Seneca Sticks for Christopher and Elizabeth, then toddlers, will be passed onto their children. Those pieces of wood have endured and so will Pete's influence on our lives.
Our condolences to Anne, Edie, Debbie and Claire.
Sincerely,
Mary Catt

I spent many hours with Pete learning the love of woodworking and listening to his laconic wisdom in the early 70s and on a whim googled him today for the 1st time ever. My fond memories to his lovely family whom I lived with for several months back in 1971. It doesn't seem that long ago.

Mr. Delevan was a wonderful person. I know he is with his love Edith now. They were both wonderful to me and I certainly learned alot from the both of them and miss them both.

"Uncle Pete & Aunt Edith" were dear neighbors, friends and teachers. We will always appreciate all we learned from them both. Pete was always so gracious and we gleaned so much from his quiet, gentle nature. His love of the outdoors; gardening, birds, trees and the lake were infectious. We remember fondly the times pouring over books identifying birds or the walks with him, learning the history and names of trees and flowers. Watching a piece of his art developing into a thing of beauty....
