Not sure what to say?

My heartfelt sympathy to Nesse´s, z"l, family. When at HTAA, I would be compelled to sit as close to her as possible to hear stories of survival and fortitude. Occasionally, she would bring in family pictures that were so near and dear to her heart. May her memory be for a blessing

I was thinking about Nesse today, the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. I had the amazing pleasure of meeting her in the early 2000s when I worked at the Pennsylvania College of Technology. I worked to bring her to campus to speak to our students. Meeting her and speaking with her made such a mark on my life. I do carry her in my heart and think of her frequently.

Nesse (or Nessa, as I knew her) worked in my grandmother Esther King´s needlework shop on Connecticut Ave, DC when she first came to this country, along with Yelka and many other women from Europe. She may have even lived at my grandmother´s house, as Esther sponsored many women from war torn Europe. I would very much like to bring my Mother to the house for Shiva, but did not see an address. Can you send me an address for shiva and/or minion? I do not think we can make it to the funeral...

She came to my high school history class to talk about the holocaust. I still remember her and her story. May she rest in peace.

I was thinking of my dear friend, Nesse today having met her twice when she spoke at North Central Michigan College. I was Director of the lecture series and it was such an honor to have met her. We communicated for many years after she spoke and called me a friend. She was a true inspiration and a person I will never forget. Her signed picture to me is on my wall. My heartfelt condolences to her family that she loved so much.

Nesse Godin is my Hero! It is because of Nesse Godin that I am committed to always standing up against Antisemitism that can ultimately lead to another Holocaust that can destroy Israel and all Jewish communities globally. Never Again Is Now!

Nesse was a dear friend of my parents and I have fond memories of visiting her family when I was young. She was a loving, kind and beautiful person who taught us about the transcendence of the human spirit and inspired us to never forget. She will be missed. My deepest condolences to Pnina, Eddy and Rochelle.

Nesse came to Bluffton, IN, three times, I believe. As a Museum Fellow, I was able to get her to come to Bluffton High School in 2002 with the help of John Minnick of the USHMM. She has touched so many lives with her warm personality and dynamic speaking. Each visit was a remarkable experience for our school and community.

Nesse was my mom's best friend when they grew up in Shavel, Lithuania. They stayed incredibly close as they both emigrated to the US; Nesse to Maryland and my mom to NY. I was fortunate to go to graduate school in MD and got to know the whole family as they included me in their gatherings. Nesse was amazing and resilient as she educated 1000s of people about the Holocaust and to Never Forget! We will never forget her.
