Neta Lynn Campbell Lawhorn, age 98, of South Knoxville, went to her eternal rest on Thursday, July 26, 2018. She was a 60 + year member of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church. She was a hairdresser serving the Knoxville area for over 70 years. Neta was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel T. Lawhorn, Sr.; three sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her son Samuel T. Lawhorn, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Miriam; grandson, Samuel T. Lawhorn III and wife, Regina; Andrew O. Lawhorn and wife, Staci; Matthew A. Lawhorn and wife, Brigetta; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other family members. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Colonial Heights United Methodist Church Organ Fund. Family will receive friends Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Colonial Heights United Methodist Church, 6321 Chapman Highway with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, Rev. Robert Countiss and Rev. Daniel Ogle officiating. Family and friends will meet at Pleasant Forest Cemetery, Concord Road at 11:00 AM Monday, July 30, 2018 for the interment. Condolences may be offered at www.berryfuneralhome.com

It was my privilege to have known Sam and Neta for approximately 40 yrs...They were both patient's of the dental office where I was employed over 40 years...We had many conversations thru those years...I've probably heard all the family names as she loved to talk about her family...She was very proud of her family...With regret I send my deepest condolences but I know she is so happy to see Sam...In Christian Love...
