Neva Joyce Cooper, born on April 17, 1929, in Midland, Texas, passed away on December 24, 2025.
Raised in Kermit, Texas, Neva dedicated her professional life to education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Sul Ross University and a Master's degree from the University of Texas Permian Basin. She served as teacher, principal, and counselor throughout her career and was especially dedicated to Midland Christian School.
She was also deeply involved with her church, Downtown Church of Christ (formerly North A Church of Christ), serving as both a dedicated member and teacher. Her commitment to service extended internationally, where she traveled to and supported Christian ministries in India.
Neva was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W Cooper, whom she married on May 2, 1951, and by her son, David. She is survived by her children: Glenda Cooper of Irving, Texas; Paula Bayley of Midland, Texas; Bonnie Cooper of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; and Tom Cooper of Midland, Texas. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Sunset International Bible Institute or Eastern Europe Missions.

I am a first cousin to Neva. My mother was Lou Hipps. Not sure how to connect with family, never knew Neva's children. I moved to Florida fifteen years ago. I spoke to your mom on a couple of occasions during this 15 years. But it has been years since then. I am so sorry to learn of her passing. Anytime we had any type reunion she was happy to get together. Always enjoyed seeing her. My mother died 20 years ago and I never stop thinking about her, missing her.
Please accept my condolences, praying for your families peace in this sad time.
