Nevin Clinton Wampole

Nevin & I grew up in adjoining homes; he at 708 & I at 710 Derstine. We were friends through grade school and high school. I always told people "he was 4 days older than me and 4" taller!!! (see photo) He left our area but we found out what he was doing usually at high school reunions. I was always impressed with his education, his career and his life style. Nevin, you left too soon but it was certainly a good ride!!!

I first met Nevin in 1963 when we both worked for Atomics International in LA. A few years later, our paths crossed again in the Pittsburgh area.
We got to know each other well here in Aiken about 20 years ago, and I valued his friendship.
Farewell Friend, as you join the ranks of eternity.

I knew Nevin as a cyclist and rode with him in the Latrobe area. He was a true gentleman.

Sara, I am so very sorry about Nevin's loss. He was such a great person, and I know he will be greatly missed. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Much love and deepest sympathy, Dee Risher
