Newton Ramsey "Bud" Bates

We have had the pleasure of being in Bud's company both in Florida and in Buffalo, NY. He was warm and friendly with an engaging smile. We are saddened by his death and extend our heartfelt condolences to Bud's family and to all who love him and will miss his earthly presence. Matthew 5:4

My family was fortunate enough to have Newt as our next-door neighbor for many years. I have such fond memories of Newt. He was such a kind soul and dear friend to many. My deepest sympathies go out to the Bates family.

We had a really good time while we were members of St. Paul's Lutheran church. We had many ways to serve the Lord together.

Our condolences to the Bates family. We met Newt and got to know him through our son and daughter-in-law, and we always enjoyed talking with him. He was interesting, funny, personable and so pleasant to be around. It was apparent that he loved, and was so proud of his family. Newt will be greatly missed! Peace and love to the entire Bates family.

My heart goes out to you and your family, John. Your dad helped us purchase our home in Dexter when we first came to the District office. He blessed so many people through his Christian witness and left behind a legacy of faith in Jesus in his wonderful family. God bless you at this time with strength.

Arcadia won´t be the same without Newt. His great joy and love for other people was inspirational. Peace to everyone during this difficult time. Sorry we won´t be at the service as we´re out of town.

We were fortunate to have Newt as a neighbor and friend. We could always count on him to enliven our neighborhood parties and to plan our "Top Down" adventures. We will miss him dearly.

I really miss my friend Newt. I really enjoyed talking with Newt on the phone. I enjoyed seeing Newt & Beth when they came to Florida. Jesus take good care of my Friend.
