Newton Earl, Jr. Had an integral part in saving my husband’s life during the Vietnam War. Jim Parr was the commander of a brown water craft which was with another craft near Binh Thuy May 3 of 1969. Jim had an artery injury and Newton was a door gunner of a helicopter crew that covered both water craft to save the craft and their crews when ambushed by the Viet Cong.
