Newt was a great uncle and he really lived life to the fullest. He loved being with family and friends and playing at the beach. I loved hearing his stories about scuba diving and all the big fish and sharks he saw. He was a great storyteller in general and fun to be with. He will be sorely missed...

Newt was a super uncle. He acted like a big brother lots of times and everyone needs a big brother at one time or another. He was King of the Beach to me and and many other children who had the chance to hear his stories and observe his swimming skills. He knew a lot about everything it seemed connected to the ocean. We will miss him dearly and I'm fortunate to have many fond memories of our times together.
