Not sure what to say?

I am a friend of Newt's son, Jim.
Jim and I, just after college rented a mobile home in Colorado Springs. I needed a new car, and Newt Heisley arranged an interview with Phil Winslow Volkswagon in town. After the interview, I was told I qualified for the car loan. I called Newt that evening and told him I wowed them in the interview. Newt told me Yes, but I later found he had co-signed for the loan. Newt gave everybody a chance to make GOOD!

Newt was the most optimistic and energetic marketing professionals I have known in my career. He welcomed each day and challenge with enthusiasm and a can-do attitude, while enjoying the people in his business and personal life. One of his legacies is a generation of marketing professionals who considered Newt their friend, mentor and father-figure. We'll miss him.

So sad to hear of Newt's death. He was a great neighbor on Dream Lane. We loved it when he would show us his paintings. We remember one in particular of a "good humor" man on a bicycle on a downtown Colorado Springs street that he wasn't quite finished with when we left a few years ago. What a talented man! We shared his interest in Air Force Football. Go Air Force!

I just want to say that Newt is one of the neatest people I've had the pleasure of meeting and working for. He has always kept in touch with the former employees and friends over the years and made each one feel special. I will miss the monthly letter he'd send, gushing with love for Bunny and, most recently, Donna. I was so saddened to hear the news. I was on the verge of calling to say 'congratulations!' to his marriage last Friday, which, unfortunately, was not to be.

Our sincere condolences to the Heisley family and to Donna. Newt was a wonderful man who will be truly missed by all of the people whose lives he touched.

What a grand man and a great American!

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

My condolences to all the family.
Newt & I new each other since 1943. We took both basic & primary training together in Springfield, Ohio.
During the WWII, we took different paths, but we have always kept in touch these past 66 years. He and Bunny are both truly missed.
Goodbye my ole friend.
