Nic Gaither celebrated a fabulous Christmas dinner with family and friends then peacefully left this world to be with the Lord, his brother Mitchell and father Danny, that he so dearly missed.
He was born in Portsmouth, OH to an adoring mother and father, Danny Joe Gaither and Toni Gaither-Blackwell. Nic was merely 46 years young. He was a graduate of Alexandria Monroe High School. He lived in Anderson and French Lick for the last 15 years.
The prodigal son, his time has come with a bellowing intellect and humor, Frankie fan and he had it all. He did it his way or no way at all. The way we were!
He left behind his devoted mother, Toni Gaither-Blackwell and her husband, Lester Blackwell of Anderson; three exquisite daughters, A.J., Gabby and Stephanie of Indianapolis; his baby sister, Trina and her two precious children, Morgan and Mackenzie of Anderson; uncle, Ralph and his wife JoAnne Gill and their children, Ralph II, Terri and Chrissy of Portsmouth, OH; aunt, Bibby and her husband, Arva Slack and their children, Dee Dee, Mike, Vernita, Chip, Carla and Scott of Wheelersburg, OH; uncle, Bill and wife Gloria Gaither and their children, Suzanne, Amy and Benji of Alexandria; and aunt, Mary Ann and husband Donnie Addison and their children, David and Becky of Alexandria.
He was preceded in death by cousins, Jerry and Kay Slack.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Pastor C. D. Oliver officiating. Entombment will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
