After so long a time, perhaps the best thing I can offer is a sweet memory of our visit, of Nicholas as a bright-eyed toddler in a cozy, fire-lit house trimmed with Christmas lights, filled with the smell of baking bread. You, Linda, were pregnant. Jay, the proud papa. We have two sons and can't adequately express our grief upon hearing of your loss.

My prayers go out to all of Nicholas' family on the premature loss of such a fine, young man. I never met Nicholas, but know his wonderful grandmother and how proud she was of him!

I was privileged to meet Nicholas once when he was visiting the art museum with his sister and grandmother. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
