I had the honor of meeting Nick Borie at the 2009 Charleston, SC Reunion of his WW II unit. What a wonderful encounter! I so enjoyed his wit, his warmth, and his authentic spirit of kindness. I am sure the loss of such a man is deeply felt by his family, and I offer them my sincere sympathy.

Nick was one of the nicest, finest and most considerate men I knew. His omnipresent smile and placid demeanor were tutorials on how to invite friendship. Of all the wonderful Fairmount golfing members, Nick was unquestionably the man most admired and beloved. Condolences speak to loss. The life of Nick Borie shouts only of gains.
