On May 23rd, 2015 my family and I participated in the I Did the Grid 4 mile run/walk. The run is organized by Team Chris, an organization founded by the family of Cpl. Christopher G. Scherer who was killed in action in July of 2007. As part of the run participants carry the names of four fallen heroes on our bibs to honor the sacrifice that they and their families have made so that we and our families may live free.
